PWI Tuban Membantu Desa Sambongrejo dengan Penyaluran 100 Ribu Liter Air Bersih untuk Korban Kekeringan

Tuban, Jawa Timur, deliknews – Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Kabupaten Tuban in collaboration with the local Police, Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Semen Indonesia (SIG), and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Tuban, distributed 100,000 liters of clean water to the residents of Pencol Hamlet, Sambongrejo Village, Semanding Subdistrict, who have been affected by drought, on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

The Chairman of PWI Kabupaten Tuban, Suwandi, stated that starting today and for the next few days, PWI Tuban will distribute 100,000 liters of clean water to several subdistricts that have been affected by drought.

“What’s for sure is that today we are distributing clean water in Sambongrejo Village, Semanding Subdistrict,” said Suwandi at the location of the clean water distribution.

Suwandi expressed his gratitude to the local Police, BPBD, BRI, SIG, and PMI Tuban for their support in this clean water distribution activity.

He hopes that this clean water distribution can help the communities affected by drought. “Hopefully, this can benefit the people, especially those who are lacking clean water,” Suwandi said.

In the same place, the Deputy Police Chief of Tuban, Kompol Herry Moriyanto Tampake, added that this clean water distribution is a form of synergy between PWI, the Police, BPBD, BRI, SIG, and PMI Tuban to assist residents who are facing difficulties in obtaining clean water.

“The hope is that this will be an activity that motivates all elements of society to help each other and work together in maintaining Tuban Regency,” added the Deputy Police Chief of Tuban.

Meanwhile, the Head of Sambongrejo Village, Sulasim, expressed his gratitude to all parties who have been willing to help distribute clean water to the residents of Sambongrejo Village.

“Because every year, especially during the dry season, our village always lacks clean water,” said the Village Head.

Furthermore, it is hoped that this activity can have a positive impact on the residents and the donors, encouraging them to help alleviate the burden of others.

The Village Head explained that Sambongrejo Village, Semanding Subdistrict consists of four hamlets. However, two hamlets, Randubanjar and Pencol, are the most severely affected by drought. (jati)
