Sholeh is very grateful that the meal with both of them at his place went smoothly. According to him, Jokowi and Prabowo seemed to enjoy his meatball dish with the addition of fresh coconut water.
Previously, he admitted that he had doubted his ability to prepare hundreds of tendon meatball orders a day before Jokowi and Prabowo’s visit. In addition to preparing meatball dishes for both of them, he also made 400 servings to be distributed free to the residents.
“The day before, Paspampres from the central government came to me and asked for permission for the visit of state guests,” Sholeh said.
“I asked myself if I could prepare it, right? Actually, I was doubtful, but I was optimistic that I had to and could do it. It turns out that everything is running smoothly now,” he continued.
Sholeh also told that his family was very happy to have taken photos with Jokowi and Prabowo. Moreover, he and his elementary school-aged child were very happy to have the opportunity to shake hands with Prabowo.
“We can also shake hands with Mr. Prabowo. Here’s the photo. Alhamdulillah, I never expected it,” said Sholeh.
He considers Prabowo, whom he met for the first time in person, to be very kind and friendly. “From my personal perspective, he is good. It cannot be expressed in words. He can eat my meatballs himself,” he explained.
Sholeh revealed that during the handshake moment, Prabowo wished for the success of his tendon meatball business. “There was a wish for always success (from Prabowo),” said Sholeh.
He also prayed that Prabowo could lead the country so that all parties would remain united.
“Mr. Prabowo, may you always be healthy and (hopefully) be able to lead this country to remain united in diversity, Tunggal Ika,” he said.
