Two high school students from Papua were chosen to be part of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day celebration as members of the elite national flag-raising troop, Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta with President Prabowo Subianto. Franciscus Sakfiris Pahabolisage, representing Papua Pegunungan Province, and Stincek Laramiapa, representing Papua Tengah Province, expressed their pride and excitement for this opportunity. Franciscus emphasized his gratitude for being selected and shared his physical training challenges, while Stincek committed to delivering her best performance before the President and the nation.
